This was a fantastic Safari Holiday, with the Travel Collection.
A lot of travelling but well worth it !. We stayed in some fantastic lodges; Samburu lodge, Keroke
lodge and The Treetops. The room in Samburu had a lovely view of the river and you could see the elephants
crossing the river, which was only a stones throw away from the rooms. All the rooms in the lodges were
clean ,but appeared well used.
For this tour we travelled in small groups no more than 6 people to a mini bus with a raiseable roof
, the guides were very knowledgeable, and knew where to find the groups of lions and cheetahs, but failed to locate the leopards
on this occasion.
our guides were great guys called john, and ottoman.
and kept the beers in the cooler for us

heart of Samburu National Reserve, Kenya. Samburu Lodge looks out over the riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and

Make sure you say Hello to Pork Chop, you might find him sunbathing at the
pool, or wondering around the gardens eating the grass. unless he is on the Menu tonight!!
