A link to my photos from Cuba
This was an all inclusive holiday at El Yarey but food was only available breakfast Dinner and Lunch, Drinks were available
all day. The Sea Breezes food and Drink was available all Day.
A very good trip two very different worlds within this country, first part of the holiday was living very
basic with limited food , however the advantages of this was no pollution, and living a simple
country life ,then the second part of the holiday was the beach, food more plentiful, and a more affluent
lifestyle.
The views from the Yala Lodge were stunning ,a very small lodge away from everything, and just down the road
a small forest walk with lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery .
My advise to you would be to take some food with you for the flight and the week at Yala, due to the poverty of
this particular area of Cuba food was limited . Although "All Inclusive" food was only at specific meal
times. No snack bars!!
The staff were very friendly.

The excursion to El Santon was well worth visiting. A very nice hotel in the mountains ,
at the bottom of a waterfall , surrounded by mountains and large areas of woodland .The hotel is in the Sierra Maestra
Mountains. We were only there for one night, if possible you should stay for longer. A large number of birds were seen
including woodpeckers, cuban Owls and many more.

The Sea Breezes was a really nice hotel. Food was excellent, the rooms were very
good. I was lucky enough to have a sea view. The entertainment staff made you feel very welcome.
There is a narrow walk to the top of the hillside which overlooks the Hotel, (SeeBelow) well
worth it but it is very steep. You can go the long way round, to the farm where you will be looked after, just take a few
gifts ;soap, shampoo, pens and pencils for the children or even money. Also you can hire motor bikes for a group tour
which is great fun taking in a lot of the sites.

In the midst of Sierra Maestra, the highest mountain range of the island, stands El Salton engulfed
in the impressive beauty of the landscape and the natural waterfalls supplemented by a unique microclimate. Its 22 cottages
have also the following facilities: relaxing room, gymnasium, jacuzzi, steam baths, medical and psychological care for those
who would like to control stress and enjoy the beauty of the virgin vegetation at the same time. El Salton is indeed the place
for those who look for earthly paradise

The rooms at El Yarey were in a good location, all the staff were very friendly
and helpful. The choice of food was very limited for example breakfast consisted of ; scrambled eggs, sausage spam &
cheese, sausage spam, boiled eggs cheese and spam, omelette cheese sausage and spam or anything else one could so with
sausage eggs and spam! spam! spam! i think i could make a song of this!!. Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay, I sleep all night and I work all
day, opps wrong one.
I still highly recommend this holiday if you like nature. Nelson was our guide, my
advise is dont make him laugh! :-)
